Interview with Ayun about behind the success of Desa Restaurant in The Netherlands.
His ordinary look with the rubber boots, sling bag, and a bottled of water in hand, will make no one think that he is actually the owner of four of the top restaurants in the Netherlands.
Ayun, flew from Jakarta to Amsterdam 35 years ago to continue his education at one college for graphic design and lived with his adoptive parents.
He began his career as part-time dishwasher in an Austrian restaurant in order to have some money in his tight student-pocket.
But no one thought, that Effendi as his real name, could manage to boost his career in a very relatively short time.
In just two years, Ayun was promoted to become a head chef.
